ASHH FAMILY-TEMA SITE 14 REMEMBERED

In the 80s Ghana was a hot place for dance and beauty competitions. Those were the days when we had the Embassy Double and Triple Dos. It was at that time that the grandpapa of Hiplife Reggie Rockstone was a dancer. He competed with the likes of Adjetey Sowa, Policeman, Gemann and Alex Ofori. Before Ghana evolved into embracing serious contests in regional and national dance and beauty pageants, some mobile groups known locally as spinning groups were the hot areas for recordings of latest buzzing American hits music and also for community mobile disco programming. At the Tema Community 1 Site 14 Square ( the area at Tema with no much complimentary tag) was the location for one of the nation's top recording store by name Ashh Family. If you grew up around that time and was a student who loved Club and House Music of the time from the US then, chances are you went to them for some recordings unto a cassette tape. This recording brings memories of those days. Please listen and write your comments about your memorable experience those days.
