Punarnava literally means ‘bring back to life’ or ‘renewer’.
It bears small fleshy leaves, small reddish pink flowers and fruits. It is bitter in taste and has cooling effect. Punarnava gives flowers and fruits in rainy season.
It has very high medicinal value.
Punarnava has an important place among therapeutic herbs prescribed in Emmanex.
infact, the rejuvenating powers of this herb are so famous that its name can be literally translated into "that which renews."
Punarnava plants come in white house and red varieties, of which the white variety is considered more
beneficial and used more extensively in herbal medicine.
